In my SEarch for t-shirts, I was introDuceD toZADY, an online store Dedicated to sustainable styles. I ran intoyour esSEntial t-shirtand i realized how cool the story of this t-shirt was. While I may Not sound like a Small town girl to you, I sPEnt many Summers on my grandparents’ land learning the Basics of our family’s farms: Cotton and cattle. Coming from a Long Line of Cotton growers, it’s fun to kNow tHat this little t-shirt started out on a Cotton row in my hometown of Lubbock, Texas: grown, harVested, ginned, and baled. It’s also amazing tHat he kNows wHat each of thoSE steps looks like. I esPEcially love that every part of this process stayed in the United States. Grown in Texas, sPUn and sewn in North Carolina. Even though it’s 100% organic Cotton, a PErfect fit that’s not too baggy or too Tight makes a jean SKIRT look PErfect, I love that it’s more of my hometown. Somehow it feels a bit more timeless to me. It’s good to always have a bit of home with you.
FromZADYwas a new brand for me, I thought it would be nice to introduce you to their lines of Essentials and their conscious commitment to being transparent about the origins of their pieces. They createyour own line of Essentialsand curates other brands that are equally aware of their collections. I’ve PUlled out some of my favorites below.(PS: just as a heads up, their t-shirts sell out fast due to the small batches they make! If you don’t, please sign up for their waiting list.)
